Exploring Kamloops in November
November 2, 2017 9:00 amFun Things to Do in Kamloops – November
The Kamloops area is a tight knit community that hosts many family events throughout the year. This is one of the reasons it is an excellent location to raise your kids and settle in. November is a great month for family fun with three big events coming up that you’ll want to mark on your calendar.
Drink and Draw at Red Collar Brewing
The Drink and Draw at Red Collar Brewing is a reoccurring event that starts May 31st and goes through December 13th. Each second Wednesday of the month from 6 to 8 pm, you can get together with your family and friends at the Red Collar Brewing Co. While you’re there, you’ll collaborate on large-scale drawings and get to play Surrealist drawing games. You’ll do this all while enjoying some of the best local beers and coffee that Kamloops has to offer. A lot of drawing experience or none at all, everyone is welcome to this free event. All of the supplies are free and included. You can bring your children as long as an adult accompanies them.
2017 Kamloops Writers Festival
Since it started in 2010, the Kamloops Writers Festival has welcomed anyone who writes or who is interested in writing or reading great books. This year features Alix Hawley, Chris Bose, Sam Wiebe, and Patrick Blennerhassett. This event allows aspiring authors to connect with published authors and learn valuable writing skills. Everyone gets a chance to connect and improve their craft while having fun. So if you have an aspiring writer in your life, or if you’re an aspiring writer yourself, come to the Kamloops Writers Festival from November 3rd to November 5th. You have a chance to learn valuable skills and get first-hand advice that you won’t be able to get anywhere else.
Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker
This breathtaking event will take place on November 13th from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Sagebrush Theatre. Bring your family and celebrate Christmas with an unforgettable experience that has taken North America by storm. This year is the 25th Anniversary tour. It will feature amazing puppets, nesting dolls, and gorgeous handcrafted costumes, all done by a world class team of Russian artists. Bring your family for a Christmas experience that they won’t soon forget!
